SANITATION FOR ALL 2024

STATUS: COMPLETED!

Date and location: June 2024 – Rontaeak village Siem Reap area, Cambodia

THE RESULT:

• 15 sanitation units built

• 5 water pumps built 

• 200kg of clothing donated

• Donation of 300 school kits

SITUATION:

Today, villagers use pond water for their daily needs and, with no access to sanitation facilities, practice open defecation, resulting in a potentially deadly cycle of unsafe water, sanitation, and hygiene. On top of this, the monsoon season brings high levels of flooding, making the situation even worst. 

GOAL:

We aim to raise USD 30,000, and your donation will go directly towards building sanitation units and water pumps in Rontaeak

Where’s the money going?

• US$1,200 – building the sanitation unit which consists of 1 toilet

• US$700 – building of a water pump

• US$200 – cost of our local operations manager to project manage the construction 

• US$2000 - cost of buying 10 second hand laptops (plus fixing the ones we already have) and run the program for another year

• Paypal / Stripe fees of ~4%.
